Aurora’s stellar reputation as a General Contractor is a direct result of our approach
during negotiations with the Owner and our submissions throughout the firm bid process.
Aurora’s estimating department and project management team spends a significant
amount of time and effort in the development of the scope of work for the project,
utilizing all available construction documents. Providing the Owner with detailed
information allows them to thoroughly compare competing bids and specifically identify
each cost component of the project, thereby minimizing the effects of any unforeseen
costs, scheduling items or construction methods.
At Aurora, we pride ourselves on our relationships with our subcontractors. Aurora
is adamant about maintaining the project schedule, reducing changes, mediating disputes
and promoting complete jobsite safety. Aurora works closely with union representatives
and local building officials, fostering a harmonious project site.
Aurora Contractors maintains a complete carpentry division, employing as many as
150 carpenters, tapers and laborers. This provides us with additional control and
affords the Owner tighter scheduling and reduced costs.
