Aurora Contractors, Inc. recently completed construction of the latest Regal Cinemas construction in Deer Park, New York. This project is Regal Cinemas’ first all-digital theater; seating 3,000 people throughout its 16 theaters. The project also contains a state-of-the-art IMAX theater.
Due to extensive changes to the electrical scope of work for the project – including the addition of an IMAX theater midway through construction - there was a need for constant communication and coordination with various subcontractors in order to enable the correct installation of all equipment and related systems.
Design changes were made throughout the duration of the project, including the redesign of the exterior panel system, the addition of the aforementioned IMAX theater and the switching of the projection system to an all-digital system. Throughout the redesign process, Aurora’s experience as a Construction Manager and our strong communication abilities allowed this project to not only run smoothly, but to also complete on schedule.
